Very high quality
On the box, it states performs like cast iron without the excess weight. I am a huge fan on cast iron so I won't comment on that claim. However, I was looking for a high-quality non-stick aluminum pan to replace a German made one I had bought years ago. This one by Nordic Ware performs excellently and cleans up easily; and is made right here in the USA. I hope that this line continues and that Nordic Ware will offer an even larger pan. For my needs, a large aluminum roasting pan would be superior to cast iron as I could fill it with two chickens and some vegetables and not have to struggle as much managing the weight getting it in and out the oven. My only suggestion for an upgrade to the 9 x 13 is to add a cover (as a previous reviewer already noted) - again because this is aluminum and not cast iron; the added weight of the cover should still be manageable for most.
A multi-purpose workhorse pan
I use this pan for a variety of foods: big batch of mac and cheese, lasagna, casseroles, chicken breasts, it's endless. However; if this pan came with a lid like on the roasters that Nordic Ware makes I would give it ten stars. Nordic Ware can you hear me? With a lid you are able to retain more heat, shorten the cooking time, etc. As it is I use aluminum foil for a cover, but would love a lid for this pan. I plan to get more Nordic Ware cookware it is good quality and it's made in the US, something I look for before purchasing.

This was purchased as a surprise gift for my sister...... and the quality of the items is VERY high end.
